connectr social network - a distributed social network. The eventual plan is to supplant Facebook; currently, it's roughly got the functionality of Twitter, slightly simplified, and about three or four regular users.
zookeepr - software for managing the linux.conf.au website; it was used in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and I was the zookeepr keepr for 2008.
MatPLC - an automation system for Linux. MAT stands for "Machine Automation Tools".
clew - a chartplotter
groupthink - a blog aggregator - now basically abandoned in favour of Planet (or, if you prefer, Adam Sampson's rawdog)

Education

PhD on Approximate Planning with Abstractions in Stochastic Domains (in the field of Artificial Intelligence). Thesis: Dynamic Non-uniform Abstractions for Approximate Planning in Large Structured Stochastic Domains (3.8M file)
MComp on improving the HINT image-compression algorithm.

Miscellaneous...

These days, things like this would go on my blog; however, they pre-date my blog (and, indeed, the very concept of blogs). One day, I will probably move them there, or somewhere else. But not this day.

parallel-run - A perl script that runs a bunch of commands simultaneously. Works similarly to debian's run-parts, except everything happens at once. A companion script, watch, can be placed in the directory to be run and displays the commands that are running on VT10. (I use these for my IP-up directory, partly because some of the IP-up scripts have high-latency, low-bandwidth handshaking, partly because if one of the scripts hangs, the others will be able to run regardless; normal run-parts will never get past a faulty script that can't contact its server.)
