Lysterfield
From Ramps
[edit] Lysterfield Lake
Lysterfield Lake is a small artifical lake. It was originally providing drinking water for Dandenong but this is no longer the case and it is available for recreation. Lake is surrounded by National Park. Parts of lake are out of bounds for humans...
There are two ramps, suitable only for small boats - that is OK as only boats under 5m are allowed on the lake, no motors and no overnighting.
Close to ramps are swimming beaches, barbecues, parking etc. And very nice walking tracks - well worth visit even without boat.
Location: North of Dandenong in Melbourne area,Victoria, Australia
Access: Melway 109 G2 (you will need some street directory to get there), from Belgrave-Hallam Rd (No C404)
