Just some more or less randomly chosen ramps are included. This is not to be used as a navigation aid but may be handy as inspiration for future trips.

[edit] Remarks
[edit] Organisation of site
Description and photos of each ramp are on a single page, linked to its name in Index section.
[edit] Coverage
All these ramps are in Australia. Most of them, in fact, are in Victoria...
[edit] Position data
Position data is usually based on a single GPS reading taken close to ramp but usually not directly on it. Some of the readings, especially those taken before May 2000, may also be affected by selective availability, adding another 100-200m to the inaccuracy (this is noted in some cases). Some recent positions are transferred from Google Earth.
GPS position is linked to Google Maps in many cases now. If you click on the link you should get (f you have access to internet) a map of the area and even satellite view.... It makes quite a few verbal instructions superfluous now, but local knowledge is still very valuable and if you have any experiences - good or bad - please do not hesitate to contribute. The best approach is to edit directly the main page.
