Now, in the USA, the only reason would be "Because you can!" (as BB puts it).
In Australia, though, with Christmas in summer, this sounds like a perfect alternative for a Christmas turkey... Leave the rich, heavy foods to the snowed-in Europeans :-)
Admittedly it's more of a dessert than a main course (it's peach or watermelon flavour), but that's not so important.
